Ways
To Make Money Online
Part 5
- M
onetizing Your
Site
Even with no "product"
you can get paid.
Making
money online used to pretty much demand that you have
your own glossy web site, unique products to sell and
some marketing brains. But a new generation of companies
have appeared that will pay you for advertising
on your blog or website - without you first becoming
an advertising or marketing guru.

Chitika.com
- Add these
highly effective ads any place you like on your website. Ads
can be text or graphics. Super easy to install in more than ten
different sizes and formats. They detect the content of your
website and adapt the ads shown to match your content and
keep visitors interested. Every time a visitor clicks on
one of these you get paid. Sign up takes only two minutes, and
you can paid directly into your PayPal account if you like or
per check.
Shopping.com
- Add
widgets to your site that display products based on
keywords. For the ultra-skilled, you can even customize
the entire user experience by tapping into their API. I
am certain you've seen sites with this installed, and you
never realized it how it can work for
you.
Clicksor - These are the
guys that generate contextual ads on sites that show up when
you hover over a double-underlined word in teh middle of a
paragraph of text.
Vizu
-
Instead of putting ads on your site, you insert polls. You get
paid based on the CPM (cost per thousand) that you can get
completed. The better positioning of these on your site, the
better you will do. The nice part of this is that everything is
embedded into your site, thus allowing visitors to
participate without having to leave your site . That is
key.
Clickbooth
-
Clickbooth is a site that blog owners or site owners can
join to place
Cost Per Action
ads on
their site. It already has a base of solid advertisers and is
similar to Commission Junction or
Linkshare.
Pheedo
- If
you have an RSS feed, run it through Pheedo. Just like
Feedburner or Adsense feeds, they can include ads into
your feed and if you really become large, advertisers
will pay you a premium to include their
ads.
Shareasale.com
- Find affiliates to
promote your site. They do all the admin. work, taking
payments and paying affiliates for you. $500 to join, but
they promote you to their affiliates. They are
similar to Commission Junction and Linkshare however
they target different advertising
offers.
Text Link
Ads - You can
earn by sending advertisers to them or by selling spots on
your site. You must have a real site or blog to do this -
nothing on a shared domain (i.e. like blogspot or
blogger).
